Network settings

Commonly there is no need to touch the network settings at all, they're usually suitable for use by default.

Testing

Once the network settings have been set, make sure your network card really has an IP address.
In Windows this can be done using ipconfig tool from "Start" -> "Run" -> "cmd". The IP address should start with 192 (192.168.xxx.y), or with 130 (130.234.xxx.y) if you are already a registered user. (Here the xxx is something between 126 and 190).
In UNIX you can check the IP address with ifconfig.

If you haven't registered yet, you can fill in the registration form to access the Internet.
